The following morning we awoke to quite a bit of snow on the ground. Once it warmed up a bit we went outside to play in it for a bit.
All the kiddos in the neighborhood were out with the sleds going down people's yards. Kuenzie loved it, though I think she just like the attention!
I know it's a lot of pink! But it kept her warm!
After about 30 minutes out in the snow she decided that the snow was to cold and she was ready to go in for some soup.
B could have stayed out there for hours throwing snow balls!
We came inside and built a warm fire. If I was psychic I would have saved the last of our wood for the evening. Our power ended up going out around 6:00pm in the middle of me making pizza's. Good think I got one cooked so we could eat a little bit. Rob was unable to make it home that night because of all the snow. After dinner I packed the kids upstairs with candles lit, flashlights on, and lots of blankets. I tried my best to entertain them while we were bundled in our bed. The DVD player decided to die half way through our first movie. So we moved on to my laptop, that also didn't make it very long. My final plan of attack was my phone that had a little juice left. I started playing Christmas songs and trying to teach them the words. They weren't very interested and pretty sure just thought I was crazy. The next morning, still without power Rob came and rescued his family and we headed to my parents warm house WITH POWER! We ended up going without power for another 24 hours. It was a long two days!
A few days later we headed down to Oregon for Thanksgiving. Kuenzie was very excited to get her hands in Grandma Margie's hair.
There's the Turkey!!
Kuenzie eating her Ranch. It's her favorite meal!
While in Oregon we got to visit some old friends and meet their new baby boy "Angus", Kuenzie loves babies!
Brayden playing Angry Birds with Julie on Farmer Kirks Iphone. He has asked to play every day since.
The first full weekend in December we decided to go get our Christmas tree. I love December, I think it is my favorite time of year. We went to a place in Gig Harbor, Mitchells Tree Farm (I think), either way we will not be going back! Our tree died after a week, yes I watered it!
The kids had fun picking one out.
Here is our pick. It looked much better at the farm and seemed to much fuller:(
When we got it home Brayden helped me decorate it. He told me that it was beautiful, I had other words to describe it, but I love it when he gets excited about something.
This past weekend my baby turned two. I really cannot believe where these past two years have gone. It has just flown by, but can honestly say it has been the best two years of our lives. Our family is complete right now and things seem to be going our way.
I had a cookie decorating station set up. I think they enjoyed eating the candy better than putting it on their cookies.
Brayden's cookie.
I want to let everybody know that Kuenzie did not start out looking this way. Her hair was done and I did bathe her that morning. She is our little mud pie.
Her new baby Vance came to celebrate with her. Seriously she thinks it's her baby!
Blowing out her candles!
Not clean!
By then end of the night she had changed her outfit numerous time (herself) and was done with her birthday tutu. Please take note of her shoes, they are on the wrong feet.
She was telling me "I'm two!"
And off to push around her babies some more.
This past week we had Brayden's school performance. We were wondering how it would go, last year he stood up on the stage chewing on the neck of his sweater. I was a bit nervous for him.
Either way he looked so handsome! I can't believe how old he looks. I need to freeze time, it is going by way to fast.
And there he is right in the middle. Notice how just about every kid is wearing a hat. Well just about every kid also sang. What about Brayden you ask, he decided to sit up on stage and not sing, instead he sat there making faces at us and sticking his tounge out. I guess I don't blame him, I wouldn't want to be up there either!!
